What is a Bail?

When a defendant is arrested in Columbus, Ohio and detained at a municipality, they must be granted bail by the presiding judge to be released.  If the individual is granted bail by the judge the individual must then post the bail in order to be released. While bail can be posted by offering property or cash payments, bail bonds are most often utilized in the Columbus area courts.
